Middle school can be quite a rollercoaster ride, filled with all sorts of changes and fresh adventures. It’s a time when kids are navigating through a lot of emotions, growth spurts, and social dynamics. That’s why finding a school that puts Christ at the center and encourages them to build a strong sense of character is crucial. After all, these formative years shape so much of who they become.
At Coulee Christian, you’ll find exactly that. Our experienced teachers and staff are trained to provide a loving and consistent environment for your child to thrive throughout their middle school years. Our aim is to keep our students academically engaged and motivated throughout each year, while simultaneously showing them Christ’s love and how to live out their faith.
From exploring both the Old and New Testaments to discussing biblical values, sexuality, and digital citizenship, our curriculum is designed to instill a strong Christian worldview in our middle schoolers. This approach is integrated into every aspect of the school day, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the Bible and God’s will for their lives.
In our English Language Arts program, students dive into classic and quality literature, while also honing their grammar and writing skills through systematic lessons and poetry recitations. We provide ample opportunities for reading, with weekly library checkouts and support from our reading interventionist and academic specialist. Our curriculum aligns with Wisconsin’s state ELA standards.
Daily math lessons use Reveal Math as a resource, which prioritizes conceptual understanding and emphasizes sense-making and exploration. Aligned with the Wisconsin state standards, our math curriculum ensures that students not only grasp key mathematical concepts but also develop a deeper understanding of the subject.
Students delve into physical, life, and earth science lessons guided by Next Generation Science Standards. We offer STEAM as an elective for hands-on learning opportunities. For social studies, we focus on analyzing historical events, world cultures, and geography from a biblical perspective. BJU Press and Abeka resources guide students.
Beyond academics, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities and arts instruction. From all-school spelling bees and speech meets to Battle of the Books and enriching field trips, there’s always something exciting happening. Our students also have the chance to explore Spanish, art, music, band, and physical education with specialized instructors, rounding out their educational experience.
We're here to guide students in understanding the world through a Godly perspective.
From math to literature, we make sure students have a solid grasp of fundamental academic subjects.
Students discover and make the most of the unique talents God has given them.
Every child is equipped to share the message of salvation with others and make a positive impact in their communities.
Coulee Christian School is the best decision we have made for our kids’ education. Coulee is another family for us. The kids get the education they need and it’s centered around our Creator. Being a God-centered family and sending our kids to school- it’s really the only option for us. Our kids feel comfortable and open with their faith and enjoy their like-minded friendships!
As a former military and homeschool family, we were very hesitant to start our children in traditional school, but followed God’s call in sending them to Coulee this past year. We currently have children in both campuses and we have had nothing but a beautiful experience in seeing our children grow not only in their education, but also in their love for Christ, and in friendships with classmates. Our family has found a family in both Coulee campuses and we are so grateful that our children now get to call Coulee home.
