Physical Education Courses

Students will focus on the concepts of physical fitness with an emphasis on healthy living and good sportsmanship. Students will also learn the rules of different team and individual activities.

Students are required to complete one and a half (1.5) credits in Physical Education for graduation.

This course will offer the opportunity for students to positively experience a variety of physical activities. Students will learn the basic rules for sports, learn how to cooperate and play as a team, and learn to incorporate physical activity into their daily life. This course will strongly emphasize that students give their best attitude and effort, as well as show improvement during each unit.

Credit: 0.25

This course is an elective

Throughout the course of this high school health class, students will have a chance to research, practice and promote healthy habits.  They will discuss current health issues, and learn more about topics such as nutrition, mental & emotional health, human growth and development, CPR & first aid, violence & injury prevention, and drugs & alcohol.
